Oakvillegreen is Oakville’s largest residents’ association that has been working successfully for over a decade to protect our environment and promote sustainable planning and urban forest stewardship. Aside from our advocacy work, we also deliver free education programs to schools and youth, and provide tree planting and stewardship programs, workshops and events for volunteers.
Green Connections for adults 55+ aims to reduce social isolation and build community togetherness among older residents in Oakville, through a program of fun, nature-themed events and activities.
Participants will experience the restorative benefits of nature and learn from local experts – horticulturalists, artists, conservationists, and nature-lovers. The program offers a forum for sharing green ideas, learning new skills and taking action in the community.
