 Carolyn and her family moved to Gloucester Ave, Oakville, five years ago after a six-year stint in England. She is Australian born and holds degrees in Commerce (Econometrics) and Arts (Languages) from the University of Melbourne.  Originally an investment banker, she is now the finance and logistics director for 4 children, 2 dogs and 1 husband. Carolyn joined the TCRA board in 2019 and looks forward to making a contribution to the community. In her spare time she loves reading, gardening, spending time with family and friends and drinking wine.  carolyn.mcminn@hotmail.com

Jayne Huddleston - Vice President

  Peter was born in Monte Cassino, Italy, site of the famous World War II battle.  He came to Canada with his family as a child and grew up in Montreal, attending Concordia University there.  He has lived in Oakville since 1985.  He has worked in accounting and finance for most of his career, having articled with Coopers & Lybrand.  In his retirement, he has gone back to work and is now a broker with Re/Max!  Always active, he and his wife have recently developed a passion for long-distance walking.  Their longest walk so far has been the 800 km Camino Frances in Spain.  Peter has been a member of the TCRA board since 2011 and was President from 2017 to 2020.  He loves living in Oakville, and working with his friends on the board on behalf of our neighbourhood.  peter214@bell.net

Jayne Huddleston - Vice President

Jayne was born in Toronto, raised in Mississauga, and chose Oakville as her home over 40 years ago. She is retired from a career in journalism, having worked as a photojournalist in specialty magazines, and as a producer, researcher, statistician, and writer with CBC television. Although her journalism career was primarily covering sports, she also produced documentaries and news, as well as writing about personal investing and real estate. Early in her career she travelled extensively as a publicist, photographer, and statistician with the Canadian Equestrian Team. It was her involvement in equestrian sport that brought her to Oakville as a teenager, when the farms of north Oakville were the training ground for members of Canada's international team. In retirement she still enjoys many of her career activities, now as hobbies, such as photography, travelling, and investing, and staying on top of news and current affairs. jayne@tcra.ca

Kim Cranfield – Director, Community Relations

Paul has lived in Oakville for almost seventy years.  He trained as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG and then joined GE Canada where he spent more than thirty years in a variety of controllership and financial systems activities.  Paul has been a TCRA director and Treasurer for six years.  More recently, he has also assumed Recording Secretary and Membership Secretary responsibilities.  Paul enjoys travelling, photography, wine and the company of friends.  paul@tcra.ca

Kim Cranfield – Director, Community Relations

Kimberly and her blended family moved to Oakville in March of 2020 after finding their dream home and falling in love with the community. She holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Guelph and currently works in the payments industry with a background in Insurance. She previously served in a similar capacity for her cottage association. Kimberly enjoys trying new recipes, reading and playing softball. She is a proud mother to 2 daughters, 3 step-daughters and a female Scottish Terrier named Piper. She is looking forward to contributing to the TCRA and supporting the broader community. Kim lives on Pine Avenue.

Director, Assistant to the Secretary

Jette was born in Denmark, spent her teenage years in Cooksville, now Mississauga, and the last thirty plus years in Oakville where she and her husband raised their daughter. Jette retired from her forty year career in the insurance industry as a Managing Director of Marsh Canada, a large international insurance broker. After retirement Jette pursued her passion for travel, photography, hiking (including the Camino Norte), and golf. Jette has been a member of the Oakville Golf Club for the past twenty-five years and has served on the Board of Directors, as Treasurer, and as the Chair of the Governance Committee. For nine years she also served on the volunteer Board of a large charitable organization. In preparation for Board responsibilities, Jette took the Board Effectiveness course at the Rotman School of Management.  jette@tcra.ca

 The Assistant to the Secretary is a member of the Board of Directors. His/her primary responsibility is to assist the Secretary in execution of his/her duties, mainly preparing agenda for Board meetings and recording Board meeting minutes.

Andrew Harmgardt – Director

Andrew was born at the old Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital and moved back to Oakville in 2016, after spending several years living in downtown Toronto. He and his wife, Courtney, young son and dog live in an old heritage home from a member of Oakville’s founding family and can often be seen pushing the stroller around the neighbourhood.  Andrew joined the TCRA board in 2018 and runs the Association’s social media outreach on our Facebook and Instagram platforms. You will often find Andrew and his family supporting our local amazing events, shops, coffee spots and charity sales taking pictures to post for social media! He is passionate about OUR community and how we can keep Oakville the Best Place to Live in Canada!  Andrew works for CIBC in the Office of the CEO and previously spent numerous years advising owners of privately held businesses on the sale of their companies.  andrew.harmgardt@tcra.ca

Ex-TCRA Doug has lived in Oakville since 1969, with a brief three-year absence during the eighties. Originally trained as a mining engineer, he spent most of his career as an information technologist, working for Inco Ltd. Now retired, Doug lives on Trafalgar Road, overlooking the 16 Mile Creek. An immigrant from England, he feels truly blessed to live in Canada and in this lovely town. Doug has been a TCRA director for eight years. Apart from his role as Vice-President, Doug helps out with TCRA administration

Ex-TCRA director,  Bob was born and raised in Montreal where he attended Concordia University.  Bob and his wife Betty have lived in Oakville for forty years with their two daughters.  Since retiring four years ago, Bob spent his time volunteering on the Board of the TCRA, the Oakville Trafalgar Hospital and is a member of Probus of Downtown Oakville where he enjoys giving back to the Oakville community.  Bob and his wife, Betty enjoy golfing at the Oakville Golf Club, travelling and spending time with their four grandchildren.

Ex-TCRA director and ex-Oakville Ward 3 Councillor, Nick has lived in many countries and cities and has now been in Oakville since 1986. Schooled in the UK, he studied fine arts there.  In 1969, he played rugby for the University of Maryland, as well as earning a BSc. in Business there. Emigrating from the UK to Canada in 1974, Nick joined the pharmaceutical industry and was in management. He started HIL-Tech Ltd., in 1999, a jointly-owned business which designs, and sells  its LEDline® in-pavement LED lights worldwide for commercial applications.

  Ex-TCRA director, Andrew was born and raised in Oakville. After spending several years living and working in Toronto, he moved back to Oakville in 2017 with his wife Michelle. Andrew is a lawyer, and he currently works at a leading environmental services company providing corporate commercial advice. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys golfing, cooking, skiing, and travelling.

  Ex-TCRA director, Michelle moved to Oakville in 2017, after spending several years living in downtown Toronto and her childhood years in Port Credit. Michelle's husband grew up in Oakville, and they got married at the Oakville Club in 2017. She is excited to plant roots in this beautiful neighbourhood.  Michelle earned a BMOS degree from Western University and a MBA from the University of Toronto. She is also a CFA charterholder. Michelle is a Director at TD, working in the Commercial Lending group with specializations in the construction industry and asset-based deals. She has been with TD since 2012. Michelle enjoys jigsaw puzzles, Netflix, wine, golden retrievers, and Black Forest bakery.

  Ex-TCRA director,  Linda and her husband Hugh have lived in Oakville for almost 50 years. They live on Gloucester Ave. Linda is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and she earned her doctoral degree from the University of Toronto (UofT). For 28 years, she was a full-time tenured Professor in Biomedical Communications at UofT. Now retired,   
she and her husband Hugh are avid travellers who love art, history and wine. However, they are always excited to return to beautiful Oakville and their dog Brie.

Ex-TCRA Director, James grew up in Oakville and went to OTHS. James is a Chartered Accountant and currently works for a technology company in the Fertility space. When not working, James enjoys golfing in the summer and playing hockey and skiing in the winter
