OUR MISSION

To represent the views of the residents of the Trafalgar-Chartwell community in matters of general significance which affect the community as a whole.

To foster a sense of community by engaging with residents in a variety of ways.

TCRA Boundaries

North: Queen Elizabeth Way
South: Lakeshore Road East
West:   Sixteen Mile Creek
East:    Chartwell Road

Our area consists of Old Oakville north of Lakeshore Rd., Midtown, and the Downtown Business District north of Lakeshore Rd.

TCRA Priorities FOR 2024

  • Midtown The area bounded by the QEW and Cornwall, between the 16 Mile Creek and Chartwell and surrounding the Oakville Go, is slated to see the biggest growth and densest population in Oakville. Plans call for the equivalent of a new town of about 35,000 people and jobs to be built in Midtown by 2051. Click on the link to learn more.

  • Intensification Since 2005 and in response to population projections of 11.5 million people in the Golden Horseshoe by 2031, Ontario has pursued a policy of intensification. New residential development will occur mostly within existing urban areas. Midtown will be an example of major residential development on hitherto underutilized commercial land. However, intensification will also occur within established residential communities. Click on the link to learn more about the policy and its implications.
