Join the TCRA board

Are you able to make a difference in our neighbourhood?

Apply to join as a Board Member!

CURRENT VACANCIES:

We need to fill a critical vacancy, Director, Communications, on our Board.  As well, we must add more Directors-at-Large.

Volunteers should be residents of the TCRA neighbourhood (QEW to Lakeshore, Chartwell to 16 Mile Creek) and be able to volunteer approximately 2-3 days a month to TCRA affairs. Relevant experience is not necessary (volunteers typically learn the work over time, with help from fellow directors) but ownership of a computer and moderate capability with it are necessary. The work will be satisfying. You will be involved in decisions which will impact our neighbourhood (and all of Oakville) for decades to come. You will learn how things get decided and how residents can make a difference in their community. You will get to know and enjoy your neighbours. You will give back.

Director, Communications

This director is primarily responsible for communicating with the TCRA community by newsletter, the web site and social media.  A more detailed position description can be found here.

Director-at-Large

This director will actively participate in Board activities and will be lead director or provide support on one or more areas of interest as agreed with the Board.  A more detailed position description can be found here.

Neighbour with Professional Expertise for Special Assignments

There are times when we may require Professional Expertise from our local neighbours for specific matters before Town Council.  If you have qualifications and experience that you think will help us, please contact us at info@tcra.ca.

If you are interested in joining the TCRA Board in one of these positions, please email us at info@tcra.ca. Include your contact information (name, address, phone number and email), along with brief information about your background. We will be in touch promptly.
